Egypt Modern & Ancient
This section of High Culture, is to illustrate two points;
|
1) African faces in modern Egypt
Multidisciplinary research indicates that modern Egyptians are the descendants of the Ancient Egyptians. In America and western media we are presented with images of Egyptians being Arabs, Whites or some other "dark skinned Caucasoid" variant. Not to say that these populations did not enter into Egypt at some time, but what about the migrants who came from Libya, Chad, Ethiopia, Sudan, and other Saharan regions? Were are there ancestors in the Western media?
The following photo gallery illustrates those missing black folk.

2) Survival of Old African (Pharaonic) Customs.
Did the folk cultures and custums of Ancient Egpyt really die?
Below we shall discover how the the rural Baladi and Sa3edi struggle to keep their ancient African traditions alive.
